Design Story:
This Vintage Home design in Pensacola had all the hallmarks of a great vintage interior. It's Maria's 2nd project with us, and it was quite an experience.
With Maria moving into her newly designed home that we did for her before, she wanted to spruce up her ancestral home. She gave us a call and we got started. When we arrived, we were delighted to see a lot of old furniture which she was planning on getting reupholstered. We went through some designs and incorporated her old furniture with a fresh look.
Although she had it redone for her children to live in, they loved the look, and enjoyed the vintage stylings, which made their house a hit among their friends. Maria told us that now she was torn - she kept staying over in the redesigned home with her kids, but she also missed her farmhouse designed home, which was a little closer to her heart.
Design Challenge:
- Client had many furniture that was going to be refurbished and incorporated into the design
- Kitchen had to conform to her experience working around it
- Keeping the antiques, but making it fresh enough for a younger generation to enjoy
- The client's children had eclectic taste in wall colors that needed matching furniture colors
